At the age of 20, Guillermo Machado graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. He completed his coursework in only three years, then made his journey to California in pursuit of a career in the movie business.

After several years and just as many screenplays under his belt, in an effort to expand his knowledge and overall outlook, Mr. Machado decided it was time to study law. He chose to attend Trinity Law School in Santa Ana, California because they offered a "black-letter legal education from a Biblical perspective." After a wonderful three years of study from some of the finest professors in the world, Mr. Machado graduated #1 in his class with a Juris Doctorate in Law and was awarded Student of the Year honors in 2007. During his years of legal study, Mr. Machado earned the top score in 16 of his 25 graded courses. He was the managing editor of The Trinity Law Review, a proud member of the law school's Moot Court Team and a multiple recipient of the Dean's Scholarship. He held a judicial externship under the Honorable Robert Monarch out of the Superior Court of California, Santa Ana, Orange County.

He sat for the Bar exam July, 2007 and was admitted to practice law that same year where he immediately went to work for the largest consumer bankruptcy law firm in the nation. After cutting his teeth with the big boys and helping hundreds of clients to a life without the yoke of debt, Mr. Machado joined the largest family of Southern California bankruptcy attorneys and spent the next two years honing his skills under the tutelage of some of the best in the profession. During this period, he helped thousands of grateful clients through the gauntlet of the bankruptcy process.

In the spring of 2010, Mr. Machado brought all his skills and training and partnered with his fiance, now wife, Attorney Ursula Barrios. Together they launched Barrios & Machado, LLP out of Orange County, a practice which had years earlier been established with great success by then solo practitioner, Mrs. Barrios out of Los Angeles.

Mr. Machado is bilingual (Spanish) and has used this skill to help both English and Spanish-speaking clients navigate smoother channels to a debt-free life.

Mr. Machado finds it both challenging and fulfilling to help the many that entrust him out of debt. For the thousands of clients who have merited such relief, Mr. Machado, to date, has not failed one and has no intention of making an exception.

In the winter of 2016, Mr. Machado started representing clients in accident/personal injury cases and now represents dozens of new clients who rely on him to deal with uncooperative insurance companies. With only the best support staff in the industry, Mr. Machado can ensure his clients in the area of accident law that their rights and interests will be met with the highest standards of professionalism and excellence and that they will recover from the accident to the fullest extent of the law.

"Guillermo runs his practice like a tyrant gremlin under the hood of a highly-tuned race car, ensuring that each client receives what they hoped to achieve and in speedy fashion. Clients truly put their trust in him because he is genuine. The same attitude and relentless effort that propelled him to tops in his law school class are the same traits that bring instant relief to his clients. I have even seen him work on New Year's Eve to block collection efforts!" Ursula Barrios.

Mr. Machado has also helped represent a handful of clients in both state and federal litigation as well as criminal proceedings, all with great success.

Mr. Machado is a member of NACBA, OCBA and Public Defenders of California.

Mr. Machado is a member in good standing of the Bar of the State of California and admitted to practice law in both the State of California and the Central District of California.

In his leisure time, Mr. Machado writes screenplays and novels.
